CALLS EXTENDED

Last night, the ALA Board issued the following calls:

• Benjamin Clemons to teach science. Ben currently serves Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. His role is Dean of Education and Staff Ministry. Previously, he served at Mount Lebanon and Risen Savior Lutheran Schools, both in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

• Christopher Dean to teach religion/Spanish. Chris serves at Lighthouse Youth Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Previously, he served in the Costa Maya Ministries in Mahahual, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

• Cameron Ausen to teach social studies. Cameron presently is serving at Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Previously, he served at St. John Lutheran School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Faith, Friends, and Future: Building Your Adult Life on a Solid Foundation - Ben Priebe
(Created for young men ages 14-22 & their Fathers) Life is filled with decisions, challenges, and unknowns but God has equipped each of you with the necessary tools to confidently forge ahead in faith. During our interactive session we will discuss practical ways to stay connected to your foundation of faith as you move from adolescent to independent adult. Regular worship attendance, studying God’s Word, intentional time in prayer, and surrounding yourself with Christian friends don’t just randomly fall into place. This session will encourage the next generation of Christian men to stay rooted in their faith as they step into their future. Join us as we learn how to build on foundation on Christ that will withstand life’s storms.

BUILD UP AZ - JANUARY 18

The Build Up AZ program aims to connect high school students with Christian men and women who work (or have worked) in various trades jobs. The adults teach, train, & mentor students in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and more through hands-on projects. Opportunities exist to encourage and build up teens in their faith as well. Thanks to the generous people who love Jesus and the Build Up program, your teen can participate at no cost!

GRANDPARENTS DAY

Arizona Lutheran Academy invites grandparents of ALA students to our annual ALA Grandparents Day on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with coffee and pastries for the grandparents. Then, the students are joined by their grandparents for chapel and a few classes. The morning concludes with a short program and lunch provided for the grandparents. Students must bring their lunches like usual, but they are invited to enjoy their lunch with their grandparents. The grandparents will depart at about 12:45 p.m. after lunch.

Please share this link with the grandparents, even if they are from a distance. (There is an option to leave a message!) Either you or the grandparents should RSVP using this form by Monday, January 27, 2025.
