DROPPING & ADDING CLASSES

Drop/Add takes place during the first ten school days and allows for class schedules to be changed. Any student who wishes to consider a change to their class schedule can see Mrs. Meyer during Drop/Add to make changes starting on the first day of school, August. 7.

VOLUNTEER THIS FALL

Volunteering is one of the best ways to connect with others at AZ Lutheran! With that in mind, all parents are encouraged to volunteer in 1 or 2 ways each season. (Nope, it's not required, but it's good for your Coyote health!) Volunteering is a great way to meet people, and we can't wait to see you!

AZ LUTHERAN BUS SERVICE

The AZ Lutheran bus service will be in operation both before and after school beginning on Thursday, August 7 (following the late start schedule). 

Families who were on our list from registration have received specific communication about bus ridership. If you're planning for your child to use the bus but have not received this personal communication, please contact Kurt Rosenbaum immediately: Rosenbaum@ALAcoyotes.org.

There is a $4.25/ride charge, and passes may be purchased in 10-ride coupons for $42.50. The morning route on Thursday, August 7, is complimentary.

STAFF CHANGE

The Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of teacher Christopher Dean, effective July 31. Circumstances prevent him from completing the duties we have called him to perform. Please keep Mr. Dean in your prayers as he seeks clarity in God's plans for his future.

Mr. Dean’s teaching assignments in Spanish and Religion will be covered by our current teaching staff. We are grateful for teachers who are willing to take on new roles as they serve our students.

Tomorrow is Back to School Cleaning Night — Tuesday, July 29, from 5:30 to 7:30pm. All parents and students are encouraged to attend. 

Keep in mind that this is a great way for students to earn some service hours for the upcoming year.

SCHEDULES ARE READY!

Schedules for returning students are now visible in PowerSchool. 

Returning students who want a printed schedule can pick them up 

1. from Mrs. Meyer in Room 22 - Tuesday, July 29 (10am-1:30pm).
2. from the school office - Thursday, July 31 (9am-noon).
3. on the first day of school, Aug. 7.

New students will receive their schedules at New Student Orientation on Aug 2.

All students planning to drive to school must register for parking permits for the 2025-2026 academic year. Please complete the Google Form and upload the requested documents, including the Student Parent Parking Agreement.


Personalized Senior Parking - Reminder
The Class of 2026 leadership proposed a plan for seniors to decorate their parking spaces. This has been approved. 

Seniors must complete the registration process noted above and also note and sign the Senior Parking Spot Painting Guidelines. 

Designs must be submitted by July 28 to Rosenbaum@ALAcoyotes.org, and painting will be done on Saturday, August 2 (only date for the first semester).

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

Mark your calendar for New Student Orientation!

Saturday, August 2, 12:30-4:00pm

• All new students (all grades) and at least one parent should attend the New Student Orientation Day. 
• Saturday, August 2, 12:30-4pm
• Begins at 12:30pm in the ALA gym (NOTE: This is not an "open house" format; it is scheduled for all to be there from 12:30 to 4pm.)
• One parent is required but both are welcome.
• Information will be given for both parents and new students.
• Students will receive their class schedules, learn to open lockers, meet teachers, find classrooms, and more! 
• Students can bring school supplies to put into their lockers.
• Students will receive PowerSchool information.
• New international students will have their orientation day with Mrs. Stahmann on Tuesday, August 5, 9:00am –2:00pm. International students do not need to attend the Saturday Orientation Day.

Class of 2025 graduates: pick up a yearbook in the office when the office is open (Monday to Friday, 8am-noon).

Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors: Stop in room 10 to pick up your copy (Mr. Groth will be here on weekdays, but feel free to email him to confirm).

NEWEST COYOTE!

Matt Kanzenbach (math teacher) and his wife, Jill, were blessed with the birth of a healthy baby girl on Wednesday. We thank God for her safe arrival! Mom and baby are home and doing well.

Lamb of God Lutheran has set up a Meal Train for the new parents. Volunteer here, if interested.

As a part of educating our students about the importance, privilege, and joy of serving others, each student is to complete a set number of hours of service.

New for 2025-26: We've revised the way students submit their service hours. Instead of writing on a paper form, students will now submit their service hours using a Google form.

The benefits:

• eliminates lost forms
• allows students to submit hours after each activity
