CLASS OF 2026 PHOTO DAY - APRIL 7

We will take the Class of 2026 photo on April 7. Prior to the photo, seniors will receive their graduation attire, which they can take home afterward.

We take this opportunity to remind you that while everyone has unique and special cultures and backgrounds, we must maintain this event as an AZ Lutheran event. It is the completion of the school program that we are celebrating, something that unifies us beyond culture and backgrounds.

Therefore, it is our policy that no decorations and additional garb may be worn on the cap and gown (exceptions are the cords provided by the school for academic distinction). It is the black cap and gown and gold stole that represent our school.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter. In this way we can avoid an uncomfortable situation the morning of graduation.

DECLINE TO SIGN PETITIONS

There are several things everyone can do immediately to encourage friends and family to oppose attempts to put the “Protect Education, Accountability Now” initiative sponsored by the AZ Education Association and Save Our Schools Arizona and the “Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account Reform and Accountability Act” initiative, sponsored by FortifyAZ, on the November general election ballot.

First and foremost, pray! Pray for the protection of educational freedom in Arizona. Pray that the opposition will NOT collect the necessary signatures. Pray that the opposition will have their hearts changed and see that school choice is about putting students first, not funding school systems. Pray that peoples’ eyes will be opened to the harm this ballot initiative would bring to Arizona students, their families, and our private Christian Schools.

Encourage everyone in your school community to Decline to Sign both petitions. Become informed and share the facts about both initiatives with others.

a. Learn more at https://azlovesesas.com/. This is a great resource!

b. Check out AZCEC’s Action Center to print a Decline to Sign flyer and to share your school choice story.

c. Read the article from the Goldwater Institute, which breaks down the negative impact this initiative would have on Arizona students and private schools.

Financially support the Decline to Sign movement by giving to AZ Loves ESA and/or AZCEC. Their efforts cost money, and they need your support to get the word out! Arizona has been one of the top states for school choice for 30 years. This initiative would set educational freedom for Arizona students and families back tremendously.

THANK YOU FOR DONATING TO THE GALA

To our parents and families,

They say it takes a village, but after seeing the results of our Gala Student Competition, I think "village" might be an understatement. It is truly wonderful to see our AZ Lutheran family working together to support our students!

I am writing to thank every single one of you who contributed to our auction. Whether you asked for donations, or provided a cash gift, a hand-crafted item, a themed basket, a donation for the NHS baskets, or an item from our Amazon wish list, your generosity has been incredible. You will receive (or may have already received) a separate note for your tax records, but I wanted to reach out and say thank you.

Our Gala team is currently busy adding these items to our auction catalog so we are ready for bidding to open online on March 25.

The Gala is an amazing night of support for our students, and we would love to have you attend as a guest or volunteer. As one parent shared, "I can see this is the event of the year!" It is always heart-warming to see the generosity of our Gala guests—many of whom give not because they know a student personally, but simply because they value Christian education. We would love for you to join us at the Gala on March 28, if you are able!

We truly appreciate your generous heart.

On behalf of the Gala team,
Jen Bode
