IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED

URGENT! Contact Your State Legislators Immediately and Tell Them You Support a Special Session to Save ESAs!

We have an opportunity to protect Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESAs), which have empowered the parents of over 102,000 children in Arizona. The Arizona Christian Education Coalition, along with other school choice advocates, have been working with lawmakers on an agreement that would protect Arizona families by ensuring the anti-ESA ballot measure that has been circulating throughout the state since March (paid for by money from out of state) will not be placed on the ballot!

We are faced with a well-funded campaign by out-of-state education unions who have already poured over $4 million into Arizona to chisel away your ability to exercise that right and to specifically target private Christian schools such as ours.

Your lawmakers need to hear from you. Please email them as soon as possible and tell them that you support a special session to save ESAs. It is that simple.

You can find your legislators’ information at this link (https://www.azleg.gov/findmylegislator/).

Legislative leadership has stood shoulder to shoulder with us as we have fought to make Arizona the nation’s leader for school choice and parent empowerment. They deserve credit for this courageous effort. After you have emailed your lawmakers, please also send an email to the President of the Senate, Warren Petersen (wpetersen@azleg.gov), and the Speaker of the House, Steve Montenegro (smontenegro@azleg.gov), to thank them for taking this bold action to save ESAs.

Finally, please forward this message to your friends who care about protecting ESAs.

FAVORITE WAY TO VOLUNTEER?

We are sharing some of the favorite ways in which parents volunteer at AZ Lutheran. What's your favorite way to help? Perhaps serving a team or drama meal, being a team parent, helping at a game, event, or with the parking team, chaperoning a dance, coaching, volunteering during Teacher Appreciation Week, driving, selling tickets, or volunteering at graduation.

Share your favorite! Take the five-question survey.

SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND NEIGHBORS

Right now, opponents of school choice are actively collecting signatures to place anti-ESA measures on the 2026 ballot. If they succeed, these measures would kick tens of thousands of students off the Empowerment Scholarship Account program, disrupt special needs families, and open the door to unlimited government regulation of private schools.

This is not a distant threat. Signature gatherers are in grocery store parking lots, at community events, and on neighborhood sidewalks across Arizona right now. Many of the people they approach don't know what they're signing - and that's exactly what the opposition is counting on.

We need your help to change that.

The opposition is funded by out-of-state special interests spending millions to eliminate school choice in Arizona. They're building their campaign on a fraud narrative that has been thoroughly debunked - actual fraud in the ESA program is 0.3%, far below Medicaid, food stamps, or unemployment insurance.

But debunked or not, the narrative works if families never hear the truth. That's why this moment matters so much. We cannot let up in June. The signature collection window is open, and every conversation a school family has with a neighbor, a fellow church member, or a friend is an opportunity to protect the program that serves more than 102,000 Arizona children.

It's going to take all of us! Please download the flyer and share it with your friends, neighbors, and family.
