PARENTS OF SENIORS

All seniors have met with Mrs. Stahmann one on one to discuss their plans for next year and talk through steps that should be taken to prepare for that. If they have any questions regarding college applications, scholarships or financial aid, they should contact Mrs. Stahmann as needed. All seniors who are planning to attend college, along with their parents, should be making plans to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), which will be available starting December 1. This form is used to determine eligibility for federal financial assistance, and colleges use the information on this form to distribute their own internal financial assistance as well. To prepare for that application, students and one parent must each create an FSA ID here: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch . This is a simple process of creating an account, but this must be done before the FAFSA can be completed. Starting December 1st, the FAFSA application for ’25-26 will be open and available for you to complete. (Do not complete the ‘24-25 form that is available now – that is for those attending college this year, not next year.)
