 Here is some information about the Enrollment Supplement Form. Please click the link below and complete a form for each student you are sending to ALA.

ALA Enrollment Supplement: Deadline: Wednesday, August. 2

Parents of new students: The ALA New Student Online Enrollment form you completed during the enrollment process doesn't allow the school office to have complete info for all student files. Please complete this ALA Enrollment Supplement to help the ALA office finalize student data for 23-24. 

Parents of Current students: Please be sure you have completed this ALA Enrollment Supplement for 23-24.

ALL parents: Please complete one supplement for each student that attends ALA from your family.

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION DAY

 All new students (all grades) and a parent should attend the New Student Orientation Day. 

• Saturday, August 5, 12:30-4pm
• Begins at 12:30pm in the ALA gym (NOTE: This is not an "open house" format; it is scheduled for all to be there from 12:30 to 4pm.)
• One parent is required but both are welcome.
• Information will be given for both parents and new students.
• Students will receive lockers, class schedules, and more.
• Students can bring school supplies to put into their lockers.
• Parents and students will receive PowerSchool information.
• New international students will have their orientation day with Mrs. Stahmann on Friday, August 4, 9am to 3pm. International students do not need to attend the Saturday Orientation Day.

My Hot Lunchbox Parent Registration

Hi Arizona Lutheran Academy Families, We are excited to partner with My Hot Lunchbox as our lunch provider! Enjoy ordering lunch from a wide variety of options provided by your student's favorite local restaurants. Lunch ordering is now open to all families at Arizona Lutheran Academy for the 8/10/2023 - 12/31/2023 ordering period. To begin ordering lunches, click the link below and follow the instructions on the attached registration letter to create your free account. YEARBOOK

All senior yearbooks are available in the office. We would ask the rest of the students please pick their yearbooks up in Room 10 on the first day of school. Thank you!

 As we near the start of our school year, ALA will be hosting a Back to School Cleaning Night. Mark your calendar for August 2, from 5:30-7:30 pm. Many hands are needed to put the finishing touches on school for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. 

We ask that parents bring along their own supplies, including rags, buckets, favorite cleaning solutions, step ladders, gloves, etc.

We welcome adults and high school age students (this would count for service hours under the "on campus" category).

It's a great chance to meet new ALA family members or renew existing friendships while preparing campus for the big day! Please come when you can and plan to stay for as long as you can.

VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS

For all female athletes who plan on trying out for volleyball this fall, tryouts will start on Monday, August 7 (this is two days before school starts), and cuts will be made on Friday, August 11.

Tryout schedule:

• Monday and Tuesday (Aug 7-8)  - 7-9 am
• Wednesday through Friday (Aug 9-11) - 3:20-5:30 pm

We have been using this email and blog all summer. HOWEVER, due to an error in our email server, most of you were not receiving it. We apologize for that.

LOG IN TO POWERSCHOOL

PowerSchool is our Student Information system.

STUDENTS: All students are encouraged to log in to their PowerSchool accounts as soon as possible. This will allow access to your class schedule (which is still subject to change), grades, attendance, and other important information for the new school year. 

• Due to a recent update, existing students will need to reset their password using the "Expired Password" message received upon logging in or using the "Forgot My Password" option on the login screen which will email (to your school email account) steps to follow. 
•  Due to a recent update, new students are receiving an updated student username and password during their home visit with an ALA teacher or may contact Jamie Johnson with the contact information below.

PARENTS: All parents are encouraged to log in to their PowerSchool account as soon as possible, as well. 

•  Please consider downloading the PowerSchool app to your phone for quick and easy access to your account, your child's current grades, etc. (Find links for the PowerSchool app download at ALAcoyotes.org/resources)
• Existing families with a new student will add that new student to their account by clicking the sidebar option "Account Preferences" then the "Students" tab and the "Add" button. If you do not know the Access ID and Password for your child to be added to your account, contact Jamie Johnson at the contact information below.

STUDENT SCHEDULES

Schedules may be visible to students when logging in to their PowerSchool account online. (Not known to be visible on the phone app.)


KEEP IN MIND:

• Schedules may adjust from what is visible now due to teacher or administration needs only.
• Students have the ability to adjust classes during the Drop/Add period that takes place during the first ten days of school only. (No changes from students will be processed now.)
• Study halls are assigned by the computer based on classes students choose. Study halls are assigned all day, using all periods, A-H. Some students may be assigned an A period study hall and it serves the purpose regardless of being the first period of the day.
• Final schedules will be available very soon, printed for students. Watch for info about that to come. Locker info is printed on this schedule.
• All new students will receive their final printed schedules during New Student Orientation held on Saturday, August 5.
