CALL UPDATE

Nathan Hochmuth declined our call for upper-level math.

STATE BASKETBALL— IMPORTANT NEWS & HELP NEEDED!

We are excited to announce that on Friday (Feb. 23) our boy's basketball team will be playing in the state basketball semifinal game at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix at 9:00 am.

Playing this deep into the tournament is a significant achievement and a rare event. As such we are planning an adjusted school day to allow our students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to enjoy the experience and support the team.

We need drivers for Friday's game. Can you help?
  • ALA will pay for parking and all drivers' entrances to Friday's 9 am game.
  • Drivers should be at ALA by 8:00 am.
  • If you are able and willing, please sign up on this form.

Please note the following information about this Friday’s school day.
  • We will begin the school day at the normal time (8 am).
  • We will be transporting all students to the Coliseum to watch the game and cheer on the team.
  • The cost of admission and transportation will be covered for each student.
  • After the game, students will be transported back to ALA. This will likely be around 11:00 am.
  • Upon arrival at ALA, students will have lunch and an abbreviated class schedule.
  • East and West Valley buses will leave campus at their normal time.
  • Spring sports coaches will communicate the details of their practices or leave times for their tournaments.
  • We will not be allowing students to drive their own vehicles from ALA to the game. We have transportation arranged to and from the Coliseum for most students, but we need a few more parent drivers who are planning on attending.
  • If you can transport students please complete the form at the link above. We will plan on leaving the campus for the game at 8:10 am.

Need more information? See ALA's website for links to tickets, brackets, parking, and more.

We hope to see you Friday supporting our boys! Go Coyotes!

  5. In March, all items will be ready for bidding in our online auction.

The online auction officially opens Tuesday, March 19 and runs until March 22 at 7pm.
  • anyone can register and bid. You do not have to attend the Gala to bid.
  • HOWEVER, there are some live auction items and prizes that are available only if you attend.

A NOTE TO SOPHOMORE FAMILIES

A note from Sophomore Class President, Elie Drexler:

Hi everyone! As you know the student Gala competition is underway. We already have everything for the entertainment basket so we decided to come up with another one. I created an Amazon list for a Bible bundle so that we can raise more funds for the Gala.

Ways to give:
  • You can purchase an item from the Amazon list (below) and have it shipped to ALA (6036 S. 27th Ave, Phoenix 85041).
  • You can give some cash or a check to one of the class officers (Blake Stevenson, Ella Miller, Liam Enter, Elie Drexler) if you don't want to buy it online
  • You can turn money into the front office labeled for the Sophomore class.
  • If we all give around $10 we will have more than enough money.
A big thanks to those who have already helped and donated! I hope you all have a great weekend!
