FAFSA

Yesterday’s parent announcement mentioned that the FAFSA was now available. This is not correct - our apologies! Typically, the FAFSA opens each year on October 1, however, this year the FAFSA is undergoing some changes (They tell us it will be simplified!) and won’t be available until sometime in December. Once it has been released, we will let you know.

In the meantime, parents of seniors can prepare for the FAFSA by creating an FSA ID. This is an account needed to complete the FAFSA. Both the student and one parent must have an FSA ID. Accounts take several days to process, so creating this now will expedite the FAFSA process once it is available in December. Parents, if you created an account for yourself when doing the FAFSA for an older sibling, there is no need to create another. Create your FSA ID here: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch.
