Is your student looking for volunteer ideas this summer? Here are two community service opportunities.
1. St Vincent de Paul has multiple opportunities for teens/families. (This opportunity was found online)
2. Good Shepherd Bible Camp (GSBC)
This is a great kids camp which ALA students have attended for decades! There are many areas you can support GSBC as a volunteer.

2023 Staff Fee – $60
Things to note:
- Parents: keep in mind that students often put off hours until later, thinking they "have plenty of time" to get them done.
- Make sure you understand the different kinds of service activities as well as the limitations and requirements.
- You know your child best! If he/she is capable of accomplishing service hours without your assistance, great! If not, please assist your child in finding and attending service activities.
