PROM IN THE ENCHANTED FOREST

Date: April 20, 2024
Time: 7-10 pm
Location: Irish Cultural Center 1106 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004

The junior class will be honoring the senior class at the annual Prom this Saturday, April, 20th at the Irish Cultural Center in downtown Phoenix. This year our theme is Prom in the Enchanted Forest. A variety of appetizers and themed beverages will be included, as well as a professional DJ, and professional photography. The venue features both indoor and outdoor spaces. The dance floor is outside, so we have advised students to plan to wear shoes on the dance floor as other events may have broken glass or caused other debris to pose a threat to bare feet.

Many thanks to our Junior advisors and Junior Prom planning committee for hosting this event! Each year, a new team of students and faculty members plan Prom—not an easy undertaking!

Please note:
  • Parking at the Center is limited. Additional parking can be found near the Japanese Friendship Garden.
  • Plan to arrive before 7:30 as the voting and ticket-takers will be packed up at that time. Prom Dress code is found beginning on page 18-19 of our Student Handbook
  • Contact Junior advisor, Jade Wells at jwells@alacoyotes.org with any questions.
  • Prom ends at 10pm

On occasion, students and parents plan additional activities after the Prom. In order for this event to be a positive memory for all involved, please consider the following proactive suggestions:
  • Do not allow rental of hotel/motel rooms in connection with the prom activities.
  • Know your child’s planned activities and follow up accordingly.
  • Maintain clear communication with the hosts of any post-prom party. Know where, when, how long, who the chaperones are, etc.
  • Communicate with your child and other parents regarding this important issue.

This prom is intended to be an enjoyable event for all involved. The stark reality, however, is that our ALA students are not immune from the devil’s tactics. Please talk with your son or daughter openly about these temptations.

Prom dress code is a reflection of who we are— redeemed children of God who seek to glorify him in everything that we do.
